The Light Saber Guide

The 15-second Light Saber Guide was created as part of my original demo reel that got me admitted to Texas A&M’s Masters of Visualization program in 2019. The film combines 3D models extracted to display their 3-D vector model constructions. The plans for the light saber model and the background were created in homage to computer animation pioneer Larry Cuba’s Death Star plans and the series of views of the flight down the equatorial trench he created on a GRASS system and VG3D terminal for the original Star Wars movie. I combined Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, and Cinema 4D Red Giant to extract the vector images from the public domain light saber model. I used the music from John Williams original opening credits from Star Wars.
