TAMU Embodied Interaction Laboratory (TEILab) Recruitment Video

The TAMU Embodied Interaction Laboratory (TEILab) recruitment video for Francis Quek’s Mentor Corps initiative’s mission is to teach underserved children in rural communities 3D printing, electronics, programming, and engineering principles. Classes are often taught remotely with a teleoperated robot and an in-person tutor.

My mission in one week was to create a recruitment video for new students. I opted for a 16mm old film look with grain, scratches, glitches, and filters to capture the unique quirkiness of the project. The film was cut like a video collage to take into account the diverse story elements I was working with: interviews, on-location footage, time-lapse photography, cellphone videos, and public domain file footage.

My role in the project included producing, editing, and sound.
